Understanding Energy and Vibration

Everything in the universe is energy, including our thoughts, emotions, and physical bodies. We each have an energy field, often referred to as an aura, which surrounds and interacts with the environment and people around us. Our personal vibration is the frequency at which our energy resonates, and it can be high, low, or anywhere in between.

High vibrations are associated with feelings of love, joy, peace, and vitality. Low vibrations, on the other hand, correspond with emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, and stress. The energy we carry and absorb influences our overall well-being, which is why managing our vibration is essential for maintaining harmony and health.

How Negative Energy Affects Us

Negative energy can come from various sources, including:

  • People: Individuals who constantly complain, criticise, or carry unresolved anger can emit low vibrational energy that affects those around them;
  • Environments: Cluttered, chaotic, or historically charged places (such as hospitals or old buildings with emotional residue) can hold stagnant energy that impacts our own frequency;
  • Our Own Thoughts and Emotions: Self-doubt, negative self-talk, and dwelling on past traumas can lower our vibration and create an internal energy drain;
  • Chronic Stress and Negativity: San weigh us down and make it easier for other negative experiences to attach to us;
  • Electromagnetic Frequencies (EMFs): Prolonged exposure to EMFs from electronic devices, Wi-Fi, and power lines has been linked to disruptions in human energy fields. Many people report symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, poor sleep, and increased stress levels. While research is ongoing, reducing EMF exposure through grounding techniques, EMF shielding, and mindful technology use can help support overall well-being;
  • What Are You Ingesting?: Not just in terms of are you putting good quality high energy fuel into your body such as purified water and pesticide and chemical free food, cosmetics and cleaning products, but what are you ingesting with your senses. Constant consumption of negative messaging and imagery from social platforms and mainstream media has an effect on our sense of wellbeing. Taking your power back from this kind of addiction to endless doom scrolling and consumption of negativity can make a significant shift to your inner landscape.

  • Emotional instability, such as mood swings or anxiety

2. Grounding Techniques and Nature: Walking barefoot on the earth, deep breathing exercises, forest bathing and meditation help stabilise your energy field.

3. Emotional Awareness: Be mindful of your thoughts and emotions. Shift negative patterns by practicing gratitude, affirmations, or journaling.

4. Protective Visualisation: Envisioning yourself surrounded by a protective light or energy shield can help deflect negative influences.

6. Sound Healing: Sound Yoga, Mantra,  and Kīrtan can help us reattune to higher vibrations. You could also explore Tibetan bowls or tuning forks to experience a shift in inner resonance.
