Gaṇeśa (Ganesha) is the God of Wisdom + Prophecy (so he holds a special place in astrologers hearts and is invoked before readings). On the 26th-27th of August – the 4th lunar day – we celebrate the start of his festival which lasts for 10 days. Although he is worshiped on the 4th lunar day after every New or Full Moon this is his most ‘special’ celebration. A day when people install Ganesha statues, altars, or spend time honour him through mantra.
Using this auspicious timing we will invoke Ganesha with mantra, learn of his role in understanding ourselves and practice in circle to calling upon his help in working through our karma. Ganesha holds a special relationship with Ketu (South Node) which rules our past life karma and soul mastery. As we’re fast approaching Eclipse Season (where Ketu will be active). This circle can also be the basis of a formative practice to help you navigate eclipse energy. Added to that if you’ve been feeling blocked, unsure of where to turn, and even feeling like you in the midst of unravelling karmic obstacles this event is here to support your internal shift through deeper connection with the remove of obstacles – Ganesha.
